M2 Borussia Mönchengladbach v FC Cologne: Gladbach have won three of the last four clashes against near-neighbours Cologne.
M3 Dynamo Kyiv v Oleksandria: Dynamo host Oleksandria in the quarter-finals of the Ukraine Cup just five days after the two clubs met in league action. That clash was won 3-1 by Kyiv away from home.
M4 Manchester City v Arsenal: Former City assistant-manager Mikel Arteta takes his Arsenal side north to try and pit his wits against ex-boss Pep Guardiola.
M5 Liverpool v Atlético Madrid: This contest brings together two sides with formidable recent knockout records in European football. Liverpool have reached the last two Champions League finals and are unbeaten in two-legged knockout ties under Jürgen Klopp; Atlético were Champions League runners-up in 2014 and 2016 and won the Europa League two seasons ago.
M6 Paris Saint Germain v Borussia Dortmund: Paris Saint-Germain have work to do as they welcome Borussia Dortmund (and their in-form teenage striker Erling Braut Haaland) to the Parc des Princes for this second-leg UCL last-16 tie. They suffered a 1-2 loss in the first leg.
M7 Independiente del Valle v Junior: Independiente from Ecuador opened their Copa Libertadores campaign with 3-0 away win over compatriots Barcelona. Junior are from Colombia.
M8 Olimpia v Defensa y Justicia: Olimpia began their Copa Libertadores group campaign with an away draw against Delfin, while Defensa y Justicia lost at home to Santos of Brazil.
M9 Flamengo v Barcelona SC: Flamengo are holders of the Copa Libertadores and kicked off the group phase last week with an away win in Colombia. Ecuador’s Barcelona lost at home.
M10 São Paulo v LDU Quito: LDU Quito beat Sao Paulo 3-1 on aggregate the last time they met in the Copa Libertadores, some 16 years ago.
