M1 Ipswich Town v Fulham: Fulham, who were hammered at home by Arsenal on Saturday, have won four in a row against Ipswich with a goal aggregate of 11-2.

M2 Leeds United v Hull City: Last season, when both sides were in the Championship, Leeds beat Hull 2-0 at home and 4-0 away. Leeds were subsequently promoted and Hull relegated.

M3 Southampton v Brentford: Both clubs began their respective league campaigns with a 0-1 defeat on Saturday.

M4 Bristol City v Northampton Town: Bristol City have won six of their past seven clashes against Northampton, who are one division below them.

M5 St. Mirren v Glasgow Celtic: Celtic’s last two league matches have produced eight goals for and none conceded. St Mirren have won three of 41 previous clashes with the Scottish champions.

M6 Paris St Germain v FC Metz: PSG have won their last nine games against Metz with a goal aggregate of 29-5, but have lost their opening two games in Ligue 1.

M1 Oxford United v Watford: Oxford needed penalties to dispose of Wimbledon in the previous round of the League Cup. Watford have never lost to Oxford with six wins and four draws in 10 previous meetings.

M2 Fleetwood Town v Port Vale: Fleetwood are one division higher than Port Vale, but have not beaten them in their last four meetings with two draws and two defeats.

M3 Newcastle United v Blackburn Rovers: Newcastle won away at West Ham on Saturday for a bright start to the new Premier League season. Now they turn their attention to the League Cup and it’s in their favour that opponents Blackburn lost at the weekend.

M4 West Ham United v Charlton Athletic: This League Cup tie is the first time these London rivals meet in 13 years, when Charlton were in the top flight and thrashed the Hammers 4-0 at the Valley.

M5 Rochdale v Sheffield Wednesday: League One outfit Rochdale won away at Championship opposition Huddersfield in the previous round of the League Cup. Sheffield have won four of six previous clashes with Rochdale.

M6 Burton Albion v Aston Villa: Burton also hosted Villa in the League Cup two years ago and upset them 1-0, which is their only triumph in seven meetings with Villa.

M7 Bradford City v Lincoln City: In past meetings it has been honours even between the clubs with three wins apiece and two draws. Bradford trail 9-10 in the goal tally.

M8 Morecambe v Oldham Athletic: The League Two pair have drawn each other in the second round of the League Cup. Morecambe needed a penalty shootout in the previous round to get past Grimsby

M9 Leyton Orient v Plymouth Argyle: Orient had an away win at the start of the League Two season on Saturday. League One Plymouth upset QPR in the previous round of the League Cup.

M10 AFC Bournemouth v Crystal Palace: Palace have scored eight goals in winning their last three clashes against Bournemouth, who were relegated from the EPL last season.
